Work to be Educated, Not Merely Trained

My hope is that you can find our classroom to be a safe, open and accepting environment. I hope that you find our room to be a place where you can learn and question. I hope it can be a place where you are not afraid to ask for help. I hope it can be an environment where you can share your opinions and interests without the fear of judgement or ridicule. My hope is to provide you with the tools, skills and mind set needed to help you reach your goals, the ability believe in yourself and to have the courage to prove to those who say you can't that you can. I believe that as long as you try you can't fail, even if the outcome isn't what you hoped; there is always room and time to try again. Don't be hesitant to use the resources around you, whether it is a teacher, a family member, one of your peers, a book or the internet. Each one of you are your own person, you each poses your own talents and I will do my best to never judge or grade you based on another. I will do my best to incorporate past and current events that you, as a class, want to learn about and discuss. I hope that you find our class to be at least enjoyable if not fun.
